Run commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Covenant Commercial Construction is hiring a Senior Project Manager to run commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. Founded in 2022 and based at 8200 Chad Colley Blvd in Fort Smith, Covenant builds for government and public owners, healthcare, education, industrial, retail and hospitality, banking, and franchise clients through general contracting, design-build, preconstruction, construction management, and tenant improvements. You would work alongside Eric Stipins, General Manager, and W. Michael Martin, Project Manager, with the backing of a company that carries general liability coverage of $1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate, a $5M umbrella, and performance and payment bonding.

What you will do

• Own two to four commercial projects at a time, from preconstruction budgets and schedules through punch list and closeout.
• Run the owner, architect, and subcontractor relationships: weekly meetings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications.
• Hold the schedule and the budget, and say so early when either one moves.
• Lead the field: superintendents, subcontractors, safety, and daily site communication.
• Buy out the job: scope subcontracts, level bids, and award with the estimator.
• Close clean: as-builts, warranties, owner training, and a final walk that needs no second visit.

What you bring

• 10 to 15 years managing commercial construction projects, with at least five as the project manager of record on projects of $2M and up.
• Ground-up and tenant-improvement experience across more than one sector; public or healthcare work is a plus.
• Working command of scheduling software, project management software, and the documents that run a job: contracts, submittals, change orders, pay apps.
• The habits owners notice: you return calls the same day, you put decisions in writing, and you walk the site.
• OSHA 30 and a clean driving record.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Fort Smith area.

• $75,000 to $125,000 a year, depending on experience.
